Lakers coach Ham talked about James in an interview. He said: “Sometimes he will command the block and split, command the attack, and sometimes he will play without a ball. We have many players who can shoulder heavy burdens, including Russell, Reeves, Schroeder, eight villages, and of course, heavy eyebrows. This gave James the opportunity not to participate in every offensive round.”
