Live Bar, May 9th recently, Timberwolves player downs talked about former teammate Russell in the Podcast P with Paul George podcasting program.
Downs said: “I’m glad that the Lakers accepted him after he went to Los Angeles. He made a contribution and he was ready. (First round) G6 he was crazy…… You know the Lakers fans. They don’t care what you have done. As long as you contribute, everything can be forgiven.”
In a three-party deal, the Lakers got Russell, Malik Beasley and Vanderbilt; The Jazz got weishao, Toscano Anderson, Damian Jones and one from the Lakers protected in 2027 (1-4 sequence) the first round of signing; Timberwolves got the lower rounds of Conley, Alexander Walker, Jazz in 2025 and 2026 and Wizards & grizzly bears in 2024.
