Live Bar, June 12th recently, NBA celebrity Barkley talked about Simmons in a program.
He said: “I am very disappointed with the situation of Ben-Simmons. 76 people had to choose between Simmons and Butler. Obviously, they chose the wrong one. What bothers me about Simmons is that as a team, as a coaching staff, they just ask him to do better in basketball. And his answer was, ‘OK, QTMD, I won’t play here anymore.’
“As a player, your first reaction should never be ‘I will never play here again,’ which makes Butler’s situation look worse. If your coach asks you to be better as a player, it’s just his job.
“He is afraid of shooting. He has this kind of psychological barrier now. There is still one year left in his contract with an annual salary of 40 million dollars (in fact, there are still two years left and it expires in 2025), and he still has at least one year to try to do it well. Yogueta is still playing as this year, afraid of shooting and free throws, which may be his last year in NBA.”
