Live Bar, June 12th recently, the Lakers legend Jerry West recalled Kobe in the Podcast P with Paul George podcasting program.
West said: “I watched him train. It was crazy, just like adults playing kindergarten children. He was very comprehensive. He is also a terrible defender. He only wants to compete.
“His skills are incredible. His professional ethics are not lost to anyone. He is not afraid of anything. He is sincere and does not talk nonsense. In the training camp, sometimes you need to fix him. He just doesn’t want to sit down. He is a natural player.”
West used to be the general manager of the Lakers. In 1996, he exchanged devac from Charlotte Hornets for Kobe, the 13th rookie of that year.
