Earlier, the league officially announced that the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season were banned. Morant will be required to meet certain conditions (unannounced) before returning to the Grizzlies. During the suspension, he is not qualified to participate in any public league or training activities, including preseason.
Zac Kellman said he believed the league’s 25-game ban against Morant was appropriate and thought the star defender must now focus on taking the necessary “really serious steps” to return to the game.
He told reporters: “The thing to focus on now is, what will Morant promise to do in the future? What measures is he going to take to let NBA rejoin the team after the suspension?”
