On January 6 this year, CBA officially announced that with the approval of China Basketball Association, the third stage will resume the main and away game system.
From June 20, 2020 to January 19, 2023, CBA competition lasted 31 months, 943 days and 8 cities, spanning 4 seasons.

On February 17 this year, based on the investigation results of the contract dispute between Zhou Qi and Xinjiang men’s basketball, China Basketball Association announced the penalty notice for Xinjiang Guanghui basketball club Co., Ltd:
I. Give notice and criticism to Xinjiang Guanghui; Limit the registration of new athletes within one year from the date of the punishment decision, that is, within the aforementioned time limit, except for domestic athletes who have completed effective registration in the 2022-2023 season, they are not allowed to register other newly added domestic athletes (including pre-registered athletes), and are not allowed to participate in or conduct transfer exchanges between domestic athletes;
II. Xinjiang Guanghui shall carry out rectification within the same period to meet the requirements of China Basketball Association registration administer method and relevant management regulations.
Xinjiang Guanghui basketball club was very dissatisfied with the penalty decision of the Basketball Association. On February 28, Xinjiang Guanghui basketball club announced its withdrawal from the 2022-23 season and the CBA league, and returned to the CBA league half a month later, the game session of its absence is treated with 0-20 negative accumulation and 0 points. On June 9 this year, the Chinese Basketball Association officially announced that Xinjiang Guanghui basketball club Co., Ltd. was rectified and restored their qualification to register new athletes.
