Live Bar, June 16-NBA officially announced that the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season were banned. Morant will be required to meet certain conditions (unannounced) before he can return to the Grizzlies. During the suspension, he will not be eligible to participate in any league or team activities.
NBA President Adam Xiaohua said in a statement: “Morant’s use of guns in social media again is shocking and disturbing, because he has been banned for 8 games because of similar behavior in March. The possibility of other young people imitating Morant’s behavior is particularly worrying. In this case, we think it is appropriate to ban 25 games, which shows that reckless and irresponsible behavior using guns is intolerable.”
“For Morant, basketball needs to take a back seat at this time. Before he returns to the stadium, he will be required to formulate and implement a plan with the Alliance to directly solve the situation that led him to repeat this destructive behavior.”
