Live Bar, May 13, according to ESPN reporter Dan Hajducky, the Celtics legend Russell’s 1957 rookie season star card was successfully auctioned at a price of 660000 dollars today, setting an auction record for his personal star card.
It is reported that this is the third most expensive retro Star card in history (Star card before 1980), second only to George mckenn rookie card in 1948 (the transaction price is 800000 US dollars) and Chamberlain rookie card in 1961 (670000 US dollars).
