Live Bar, May 5th recently, Clay’s father Michael Thompson talked about the series of Warriors and Lakers in an interview with the media.
Speaking of Clay’s ups and downs in the playoffs, he made 4 out of 19 in the 7th world war against the king, but when he performed well in defense, Tang dad said: “Excellent players understand, basketball does not necessarily have a very bright performance at both ends of attack and defense. There are too many people in the media struggling with how many points you have scored, but they forget that 50% of the game depends on defense.”
“It’s like people always criticize Anthony Davis for not scoring much, but ignore that he played Bill Russell-style defense in the playoffs. Your shot may be lost, but you can still influence the game on the defensive end.” Said Tom.
