Shepard is 54 years old this year. His career in NBA management began in 1994 when he joined the public relations department of nuggets. In 2003, Shepard joined the Wizards. In his early years, he served as assistant chief executive officer under Glenfield and was promoted to general manager of the team in 2019. In 2021, Wizards signed a contract with Shepard for many years and was promoted to the president of the team.
Woj said that the main reason for Shepard’s dismissal was that the Wizards missed the playoffs this year.
